Mango has cut the price of a natural fibre shopper bag designed to outlast the summer season, dropping it from 49.99 euros to 35.99 euros. The Spanish fashion retailer's minimalist take on the woven bag trades the usual sand and beige tones for a chocolate brown finish, giving it a more urban look that the brand says makes it easy to pair with early autumn outfits as well as summer looks.

Natural fibre bags are typically linked to the warmer months because of their light materials and relaxed, holiday feel. This shopper's simpler lines and darker colour are intended to set it apart from that seasonal image, so it can stay in rotation once September arrives and temperatures start to cool.

A wide shopper built for everyday use
The bag has a wide, functional silhouette designed to hold everything needed for a day out. According to Mango, it has enough room for everyday basics as well as a water bottle, a book, a light beach towel or a thin jacket for cooler evenings.

A wide, adjustable strap with a buckle lets the wearer set how the bag sits on the shoulder, while a magnetic closure gives easy access to the interior without disrupting the clean look of the design. Mango describes these as small details that add comfort without taking attention away from the design itself.

Colour is one of the features that sets this bag apart from other natural fibre models. Instead of the usual sand and beige shades common to the style, the chocolate brown gives it what Mango calls a more sophisticated finish, one that pairs with garments in a wider range of styles and colours.

Styling it beyond the summer holidays
Once September arrives, Mango suggests the shopper suits outfits with more of an in-between-season feel. Paired with straight-leg jeans and a white shirt it gives a relaxed touch, while worn with a light-coloured blazer or a fine knit jumper it takes on more of an autumn look. It also works with bermuda shorts, shirt dresses, white trousers or midi skirts.

Mango says the natural fibre keeps its appeal in more refined designs and darker tones, moving it away from being seen purely as a summer accessory. The retailer describes the shopper as combining the practicality of a roomy bag with a simple aesthetic, evidence that natural-inspired accessories do not need to be confined to the hottest months.

With the current price cut, the bag offers two qualities Mango says can be hard to find together in a single seasonal piece: strong capacity and a design that is easy to combine. It is being marketed as a purchase for now that can keep being worn as summer begins to fade.
