Brazilian singer Mari Fernandez and her wife Júlia Ribeiro have left the maternity hospital with their newborn daughter Isabela after welcoming their first child.
The 25-year-old musician gave birth on Thursday, October 1, and the couple marked their departure by sharing pictures on Instagram Stories that showed the infant outside the clinical setting.
Fernandez had already uploaded several pictures of the baby across her social channels before the couple released a dedicated photo carousel on Instagram on Friday, October 2. The post featured multiple photographs of Isabela taken shortly after delivery, accompanied by a caption that playfully asked followers how they were doing.
The post attracted widespread congratulations from across the Brazilian music and entertainment industries. Country singer Mariana Fagundes, online creator Karolly Rayssa, and singer Henry Freitas were among those who left supportive comments praising the arrival of the couple's daughter.
Wedding and high-profile guests
Fernandez and Ribeiro, who works professionally as a dentist, have been married since October 2025. The two publicly confirmed their romance in August 2024, after having already spent three years together away from public scrutiny.
For their wedding ceremony, both brides chose traditional white wedding dresses and asked all 250 guests to wear black attire. The event drew an extensive list of Brazilian celebrities, including digital creator Gessica Kayane, widely known as Gkay, alongside several former reality television competitors.
Among the attendees were former housemates from Big Brother Brasil, the popular long-running reality franchise broadcast by TV Globo. Reality personalities Larissa Santos, Larissa Tomásia, Jaqueline Grohalski, and Eslovênia Marques were all present to celebrate the couple.
Temporary hiatus from touring
Hailing from Ceará in northeastern Brazil, Fernandez has emerged over recent years as one of the country's most prominent young artists, gaining national acclaim for her work in the piseiro and forró genres.
During the closing weeks of her pregnancy, the singer revealed plans to take a temporary hiatus from live performances. Fernandez announced that for the first time in her five-year career, she would step away from concerts for roughly 20 to 25 days in order to focus on her family. She explained that she considered the break necessary for a greater cause, noting that she was certain she would never again experience the initial journey of first-time motherhood.
