Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, marked her husband Prince Harry's 42nd birthday with a post on Instagram featuring a selection of family photographs.
Several of the images show the Duke of Sussex together with the couple's two children, son Archie and daughter Lilibet. Meghan accompanied the post with a short, heartfelt message, writing that he was simply the best and wishing her love a happy birthday.

Who is Prince Harry
Prince Harry is the younger son of King Charles III of Britain and the late Princess Diana. In 2020, he and Meghan stepped back from their duties as working members of the British royal family, and the couple relocated to the United States.

Since their wedding in 2018, Meghan and Harry have been among the most talked-about couples connected to the British royal family. They have two children together, son Archie, born in 2019, and daughter Lilibet, born in 2021.

Rare glimpses of the children
Meghan and Harry generally avoid showing their children in public, which is why the family photographs the duchess occasionally shares on social media tend to draw particular attention from fans of the couple.

Return to the UK
The birthday post comes after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, along with their children, returned to the United Kingdom in late August 2026, following more than six years living in the United States. The family plans to settle outside London, and Archie and Lilibet have already started attending a British school.
The couple do not intend to resume official royal duties and remain non-working members of the royal family. Buckingham Palace has separately confirmed that Harry and Meghan retain the status of private individuals and will not represent the monarchy at official events.
The move back to Britain marks a new chapter for the family after several years based in California.
