Millie Bobby Brown and her husband Jake Bongiovi have traveled to Iceland with friends weeks after adopting a baby boy.
The 22-year-old Stranger Things actress and the 24-year-old model enjoyed a break from parenting duties as they took in the sights of the land of fire and ice alongside a group of companions.
Brown, who rose to fame playing Eleven in the Netflix science fiction series Stranger Things before starring in the Enola Holmes films, documented the getaway on her Instagram account on Monday. The photographs showed the couple cuddling up on a yacht during a whale watching excursion.
The duo also wrapped up against the cool weather to visit a scenic waterfall, with additional photographs showing the group larking around during their travels across the North Atlantic island nation.
Brown later stripped down to a bright red swimsuit to enjoy a dip in a natural hot spring alongside her female friends. Captioning the holiday photo carousel on social media, the star wrote, "find your people, hold them close!"
Second child adoption and Instagram announcement
The adventurous trip comes shortly after the couple expanded their family. It was revealed last month that the pair had adopted their second child, with Brown later confirming on Instagram that their new arrival is a baby boy.
According to People magazine, the couple officially welcomed the baby boy through adoption. Brown had previously dropped subtle hints about a growing family when she posted a video on Instagram from a vacation in the Dolomites last month.
In the clip filmed in the Italian Alps, Brown was seen carrying their older daughter while Bongiovi, the son of rock star Jon Bon Jovi, had a baby carrier strapped to his chest as they strolled alongside alpacas.
Brown later offered followers a look at her new baby son on social media, sharing a picture with the caption, "hi little guy!" In the photograph, the actress wore a gold ring featuring three diamond letters spelling out "Mom," while her daughter's arm was visible at the bottom of the frame.
Wedding anniversaries and ceremonies
In September, Brown shared a new family photograph featuring both of their children to mark her wedding anniversary with Bongiovi following the arrival of their second child.
The image captured the family walking through the lavish grounds of Villa Cetinale, a 17th-century estate located in Tuscany, Italy. Marking two years of marriage, Brown wrote in her caption, "two years married. oh, how you have changed my life, j. I love love love you! here's to always marching to the beat of our own drum."
Bongiovi also marked the milestone by sharing a celebratory video montage of the couple. His post featured a photograph of Brown carrying a baby carrier draped with a muslin cloth over her chest.
The couple first began dating in 2021 before announcing their engagement in April 2023. They officially tied the knot in May 2024 during a private ceremony in the United States, followed by a second lavish celebration in Italy in September 2024, where they exchanged vows at Villa Cetinale in Tuscany.
First adoption and family planning
Brown and Bongiovi adopted their first child, a baby girl, in August 2025. The couple have chosen to protect their daughter's privacy by keeping her name and face hidden from the public.
At the time of her arrival, the couple announced the news on Instagram with a joint statement reading, "This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy. And then there were three. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi."
The actress had previously spoken about her childhood ambition to adopt. During an appearance on Kylie Kelce's Not Gonna Lie podcast in June, Brown revealed that adoption had been a personal goal since she was a young girl.
Brown recalled on the podcast that she "[I] always, always wanted to adopt," adding, "It was always part of my childhood dreams. Every time I was at home and I was, you know, five, six years old, my parents were like, 'You had your baby dolls. They were all adopted'. I never had any of them myself. And I never pretended I was pregnant."
She also explained how her academic coursework influenced her understanding of the process. "I loved the aspect of adoption in my social work courses… So meaningful and important. And then I also learned about being a birth mother and what that journey is," Brown said.
Brown emphasized that she and Bongiovi carefully considered the decision before proceeding. "So for me, my husband and I took a lot of time to focus on what that story and what that journey looks like. And then we embarked [on] it," she explained.
Although she is now a mother of two adopted children, Brown clarified that she still plans to become pregnant and carry a biological child in the future. "It's not because I don't want that. Hopefully one day that's in my future," she told the podcast.
