Singer Mireya Bravo from Operación Triunfo 2017 has announced her engagement to partner Fran Mena after a romantic beach proposal in the Dominican Republic. Bravo shared drone footage capturing the moment Mena proposed on a wooden walkway in Bayahibe at sunset with the sea in the background. The bird's-eye view shows Mena dropping to his right knee to pull out an engagement ring and ask her to marry him.

The singer had no idea her partner was planning the proposal and was initially frozen in shock when he got down on one knee. She needed a few moments to realize what was happening before embracing and kissing him passionately.

Bravo accepted the proposal, allowed Mena to place the ring on her hand, and proudly displayed it to the camera. Alongside the video, she wrote that an ordinary walk had turned into a lifelong commitment, calling it their yes forever.

The video shocked her followers and quickly gathered hundreds of celebratory messages and well wishes from fans. Former castmates from her edition of the show were among those offering congratulations on social media.

Operación Triunfo 2017 alumni reunion

Operación Triunfo 2017 rescued the long-running talent competition format from oblivion and launched singers such as Aitana, Amaia Romero, Lola Índigo, and Bravo to national stardom. The program served as a launching pad for new artists who continue filling stadiums and building careers in music.

Bravo remains in contact with several of her former castmates, making a reunion likely on her wedding day. Colleagues who still keep in touch with her include Ricky Merino, Roi, Nerea Rodríguez, and Ana Mena.

Former contestant Amaia has been noted as the busiest member of the cohort and has lost regular touch with the rest of the group, although affection among the performers remains intact.

Former cast members frequently document their reunions on social networks, and fans expect the upcoming wedding to be widely shared online as the singers gather to celebrate.
