Alvinegros played with the defeat of Rubro-Negro in the semi-final of the World Cup
Botafogo beat Bangu, this Saturday, from the carioca championship, by 2 to 0. At the Luso-Brasileiro stadium, the Alvinegro fans provoked Flamengo, who took third place in the Club World Cup, in Morocco.
At the end of the match, with victory assured, the Botafogo fans chanted: “Real Madrid, you can wait, your time will come.” The song was sung by Marcos Braz, after winning the Libertadores last year.
After Flamengo’s defeat against Al Hilal last Tuesday, rival fans recovered the video of the Rio de Janeiro club’s manager. Real Madrid advanced to the final, without facing Rubro-Negro, and won the tournament title.
Flamengo beat Al Ahly 4-2 to get the bronze. After slipping into the Club World Cup and the Brazilian Super Cup, Rubro-Negro is now preparing for the Recopa Sudamericana, against Independiente del Valle.
