I knew there would be fun here for a while.
We know Kang is an even bigger threat than Thanos in ‘Ant-Man 3’ or that the post-credits scenes of ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ They are going to make history in Marvel, but what we did not know is that ‘Ant Man 3’ would not exist without the vision of Paul Rudd. This is stated by the head of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feigethat revealed during a recent press conference than the actor who plays Scott Lang proposed the future exploration of the Quantum Realm on the big screen even before production began on 2015’s ‘Ant-Man’ which, by the way, ended up being one of the best Marvel movies.
Alluding to that psychedelic subatomic space, Feige shared, “We first saw it in the first ‘Ant-Man’ movie, and I was reminded recently that it was an idea Paul had before we started shooting the first ‘Ant-Man’ movie. Ant-Man’: what if we explore this, you know, quantum physics.”
“Things act very differently at the quantum level, and Paul was talking about how much storytelling and imagination and fun you could have there.”
Feige went on to explain, “The first ‘Ant-Man’ movie was mostly about getting to know the characters and their origin story, of course, and in the end we got a good taste of that, which led us to ‘Avengers: end me'”.
“It’s a place that’s at the subatomic level where space and time act differently, and that allowed us to travel back in time at Scott Lang’s suggestion in ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ and it allowed us to have this whole quantum world in this movie, where we go to a point where only Janet van Dyne, played by Michelle PfeifferI had seen before.”
For his part, ‘Quantumania’ director Peyton Reedwas also on hand to talk about the aspect of the kingdom itself, with some amazing inspirations.
“We looked at everything from electron microscope photography to things like ‘Heavy Metal’ magazine from the ’70s and ’80s, and we wanted to incorporate all of these elements.”
“There’s a little sword and sorcery element, and then there’s a real one. We just wanted to get a team of artists together and say we’re creating the Quantum Realm,” he continued.
“None of the other Marvel movies have really touched on it, and we want to create this world so alive that it has its own story and internal logic. Who are the creatures and who are the people there, and how do you travel? What are the laws of physics? You had to figure out all these things.”
