“The Flash” Wins Trailer with Return of Michael Keaton’s Batman; I wait

Warner Bros. released the first trailer for “The Flash” last Sunday (12) during the Super Bowl broadcast. The video was one of the most anticipated by fans, as it features Michael Keaton reimagining Batman from the 1989 DC classic.

Ezra Miller returns as Barry Allen, the scarlet speedster, who will now have to face a reality where different worlds mix after a mess in space-time caused by the superhero.

In the trailer we also see Batman played by Ben Affleck in “Justice League” and “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”, both directed by Zack Snyder. Also new is the addition of Supergirl to the DCEU, played by Sasha Calle.

The plot is based on the comic “Justice League: Flashpoint”, written by Geoff Johns. In HQ, Barry Allen goes back in time to save his mother from death and creates a timeline that mixes different worlds.

Worlds collide in “The Flash” when Barry uses his superpowers to travel through time and change events from the past. But when her attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry is trapped in a reality where General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no superheroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can persuade a very different retired Batman to rescue a trapped Kryptonian, even if that’s not what he’s after. In the end, to save the world he’s in and return to the future he knows, Barry’s only hope is to run for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to restart the universe?

“The Flash” hits theaters June 15.
