Ever since the Star Wars series began, we’ve wondered who is actually under the Mandalorian armor, and while most of the time it’s John Wayne’s grandson, Brendan Wayneaction specialist, Pedro Pascal has also had to don the helmet of one of the most beloved Star Wars characters on numerous occasions.

In the middle of the promotional campaign for the return of the Disney+ series, Pascal has approached to Empire the difficulties of moving with armorso many that he practically can’t even see where he’s stepping.

It’s like putting on a weight training glove from head to toe.”, explains the actor. “You can’t see shit! Your breath completely blurs the narrow slit through which you can see. There is no peripheral vision. If there’s a hole, I’m going to fall into it”, he says laughing.

However, Pascal appreciates the fact that putting on the case instantly brings it into character: “When you put it on, you immediately you feel powerful, protected, dangerous and like a protector”.

In the 2 seasons of ‘The Mandalorian’ and in ‘The Book of Boba Fett’, we have seen the Mandalorian doing incredible feats thanks to the beskar armor. He can take direct fire from stormtroopers, withstand explosions, and much more, but the weight of the costume together with the lack of visibility means that filming with it is more complicated than it might seem.

Season 3 of ‘The Mandalorian’ premieres on Disney+ next March 1st.
