The 31-year-old athlete has a contract with the Azzurri until 2024. The negotiated deal would provide for a renewal until 2025, with the possibility of an extension for another year. In an interview, the Brazilian expressed his desire to stay in the team.

Despite the renewal, Danilo’s salary will not increase. Juventus are going through an unstable phase after being punished for financial irregularities in recent transfers. Without certainties on the budget for the next few years, the situation may have weighed on the talks with the defender.
Danilo arrived at Torino in 2019, after moving to Manchester City. For Juventus, the team played 138 times, winning an Italian championship, an Italian Cup and a Super Cup. This season, the Brazilian scored two goals and provided the club with two assists.
