Before we dive into this quiz on the second episode of the Wachowski trilogy, let’s take a little detour from the first film to refresh our memories and remember where we left Neo, Trinity and Morpheus at the end of the first opus.
Thomas Anderson (Keanu Reeves) is a young computer scientist who is also known as Neo in the world of hacking. He lives a peaceful and orderly life, until a message from the computer tells him that the world around him is just an illusion and that he actually lives in a virtual world: the Matrix.
He then meets a certain Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) who reveals to him that he is the chosen one and that only he can overcome the machines to free humans by taking control of the matrix.
He then trains in battle with intense training, displaying skills that confirm Morpheus in his belief that Neo is indeed the chosen one. But in order to be able to fulfill his messianic destiny, he will have to face the sinister Agent Smith, who manages to capture Morpheus.
So Neo decides to return to the matrix with Trinity to free his friend. But during the attack, Neo kills Agent Smith. Distraught, Trinity then declares her love for him, leading to the resurrection of the Chosen One, who sees his abilities increased tenfold and who then manages to overpower Smith and the other agents.
