“You” is back in full force. The first part of season 4 of the series about a seductive serial killer has amassed 92.1 million watched hours since its February 9 release, debuting at number 1 on Netflix’s Top 10 Most Watched Series. The release of 5 new episodes made the series among the most watched content in 90 countries.
The remaining five episodes will be released on March 9. The episode split is part of Netflix’s new launch strategy.
the Top 3 was formed with the second season of “Ginny & Georgia” in 2nd place, with 25.7 million hours watched, and “Wandinha”, the sensational Netflix hit, in 3rd place with 22.7 million of hours watched. The spin-off series from ‘The Addams Family’ premiered on November 23, 2022 on the platform and has never dropped out of the top streamed list ever since.
Interestingly, the previous seasons of ‘You’ and ‘Ginny & Georgia’ round out the Top 5 series on the platform.
Another detail that attracted attention was the downfall of “Lockwood & Co”. Last week’s leader, the teen horror attraction, tumbled to 7th place with just 15.4 million hours viewed. A red alert has already been reached by fans of the series, who are hoping the series will win a new season.
In the list of most watched films, the star power of Reese Witherspoon (“A Wrinkle In Time”) and Ashton Kutcher (“Love Comes Back”), together for the first time in a romantic comedy, secured the lead role for “In Your House Or Mine?”, with 51.2 million hours watched. The feature appeared in the Top 10 of 91 countries.
Another debut, “Fearless,” which tells the story of a teenager who becomes the youngest person in the world to solo around the world, was at No. 2 with 20.7 million hours, a slight gap ahead of “Certain People”, a comedy with Jonah Hill (“Don’t Look Up”) and Eddie Murphy (“A Prince in New York 2”), watched for 20 million of hours.
