Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania just hit theaters, officially kicking off Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A feature film full of surprises with a surprisingly long title. But what does the latter mean?
In the title Quantumania, first is the scientific term “Quantum”. A word we translate as “quantum” and which clearly refers to what’s at the heart of Marvel’s new feature film: The Quantum Realm.
What will our heroes discover in this place unlike any other, a vast and mysterious subatomic world in which Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) were once prisoners? Strange new creatures, a society in crisis, and a ruthless Time Master whose menacing shadow is just beginning to spread.
The quantum world is an extraordinary, abundant world, rich in a thousand and one surprises. In short, it’s visual madness at any time. It is only natural that the term “mania”, a synonym for madness, joins “quantum” to form quantum mania, thus fulfilling the promise that this quantum realm is a crazy world, truly extraordinary.
The most observant will eventually notice that the name of the superhero played by Paul Rudd is hidden in the title Quantumania. Yes, yes, look closely!
“Ant-Man 3”: diving into the quantum realm!
