The head of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige has confirmed a shocking plot twist for Harrison Ford in ‘Captain America: New World Order’.
The protagonist of ‘Indiana Jones’ has joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe to get into the skin of Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Rossa US Army general bent on subservient superheroes under government control. William Hurt played this character in the UCM, until his death in 2022.
Although we’ve seen Ross in the role of a general in his previous appearances, Feige has confirmed with Entertainment Weekly that Thunderbolt has a new rank: President.
“C.on Harrison, you think of ‘Air Force One’; you remember his confrontations with the President in ‘Imminent Danger’. There is a dynamic between President Ross and Sam Wilson,Feige confirmed.
“They have a history together, but in the movie, we’ll see an incredible dynamic between Captain America and the President of the United States.”
Feige revealed that Ford is assuming his new position in the MCU with his “tireless” effort. In addition, he added that he had always wanted to work with this acting legend.
“This has been my dream for years. Ever since Jon Favreau worked with Harrison Ford on ‘Cowboys & Aliens’,” he stated.
“I was jealous. So finally having him in the MCU is amazing. I can finally cross it off my wish list..”
Anthony Mackie officially takes control of Captain America’s shield in ‘New World Order’, which will also see Tim Blake Nelson return as the Leader of ‘The Incredible Hulk’ (2008).
Ford is expected to return as President Ross for the film, ‘Thunderbolts,’ which will unite a group of anti-heroes on a mission to redeem themselves.
‘Captain America: New World Order’ has been officially confirmed. The rest of the previously released Marvel movies are available on Disney+.
