How does Indiana Jones 5 connect with other films in the franchise?

After 15 years of the fourth film in the franchise, Indiana Jones and the Relic of Destiny will hit theaters on June 30, 2023. Even with a long time away from the previous feature films, the production will remain connected, according to Harrison Fordinterpreter of the title character.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter (via Screen Rant) to comment on the new entry in the franchise originally directed by Steven Spielberg, ford offered some tips for the long-awaited return of Indiana Jones.

“What I love is that we see [Indiana Jones] at a different point in his life than where we’ve seen him in these other films,” said the star in the conversation. “It’s a logical place for him to be at this stage, considering his behavior and what he spent his time doing. It is a very interesting script that [James Mangold] created.”
