New film will be directed by Dean DeBlois, the same director of the first three animations in the franchise
The first movie ofHow to Train Your Dragonshould win a live-action version directed again por Dean DeBlois, director of the trilogy. According to deadlinethe film arrives in March 2025 in theaters.
The first film shows Hiccup, a viking who wants to become a dragon hunter and becomes the unlikely friend of one: the Toothless. Over the course of the film, the character discovers that there may be more to the creatures than he first thought.
The trilogy grossed an estimated $1.6 billion and garnered four Academy Award nominations. In 2021, the franchise won an animated series called Dragons: The Nine Realms (Dragons: The Nine Realmsin free translation) and won a Golden Globe.
