Alec Baldwin will be back at work soon. In the spring, the Hollywood actor will continue the production of the scandalous film Rust. Earlier, the Santa Fe District Attorney’s Office charged the 64-year-old artist on two counts in connection with the death of cameraman Galina Hutchins. She was killed while working on a painting.

In January, there were rumors that Rust would still be completed. However, the team has now officially confirmed this information. Several crew members will return to the project along with director Joel Sousa. Joining the work are security staff Gary Jensen and Paul Jordan from Tenet Production Safety and production designer Christine Brandt.

I am grateful that a brilliant and dedicated new film crew will join the team and strive to complete what Galina and I started. All my efforts in this film will be to honor Hutchins’ legacy and make her proud. I am honored to see this through to the end on her behalf,” says the director.

The production company said that “at the behest of Hutchins and with her blessing and support” cinematographer Bianca Kline will complete Galina’s vision. In addition, she will donate her salary to a charity named after her. Any use of working weapons and any ammunition will be prohibited on the set.

Galina Hutchins died on October 21, 2021. Lead actor Alec Baldwin was reported to have pulled the trigger during a rehearsal for one of Rust’s scenes, unaware that the gun contained live ammunition. Director Joel Sousa was also injured. Despite this, Baldwin has stated in some interviews that he did not fire the pistol. The fact that the actor will be prosecuted under a criminal article for murder became known in January of this year. And recently, the Hutchins family filed a new lawsuit against the star and the film crew.
