On March 26, 2023, The Young and the Restless will celebrate a special anniversary in the United States. Indeed, the world cult series celebrates 50 years on the air! To thank fans for their loyalty, CBS (which airs the series across the Atlantic) has decided to bring some of the series’ former iconic faces back to Genoa City!
Danny, Gina and Leanna are back…
Having just returned to reunite with his son Daniel (Michael Graziadei) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), Danny is back again. However, Cricket’s former great love (Loralie Bell) won’t be alone, as her sister Gina (former owner of the legendary Athletic Club) will be there! Michael Damian and Patti Weaver, their interpreters, will reprise their roles.
But that’s not all, because Barbara Crampton will once again slip into the skin of Leanna Love! Remember, this is nothing more than a scoop-hungry journalist who made the Newmans and Abbotts see all the colors in the past!
Grandma and Nina followed!
The latter will be happy to be reunited with Mamie Johnson (played by Veronica Reddy), their previous governess, who also acts as a surrogate mother for Ashley (Eileen Davidson), Jack (Peter Bergman) and Tracy (Beth Maitland).
Last but not least, Tricia Cast, who gave Nina her features, will be reunited with her former friends! It was interspersed with The Young and the Restless for years from 1986 onwards, then intermittently after 2001. A hugely popular character, his imminent arrival in the city is sure to give fiction devotees a lot of fun. How will the residents of Genoa City react when they see this ghost killing again?
Lately, the series has had some great comebacks: Fenn (Zach Tinker), the son of Michael (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren (Tracy Bregman, in a wonderful tribute to Live), for example, introduced his family to his girlfriend. It’s soon Heather’s (Vale Bloom) daughter Paul’s (Doug Davidson) turn to return to the series… 50 seasons full of twists and turns!
