While the discovery of the mysterious painter Definode shakes the art world in Un si grand soleil, Alix continues her manipulations at the risk of trouble… Nadia Fossier, interpreter of the sparkling Alix, entrusted the microphone of Allocine to continue this twist-rich intrigue.
Alocine: How do you see Alix’s development?
Nadia Fossier: The writing succeeds in Alix’s ambiguous adventures and often in comedy. And that’s what’s cool. He’s a little Zebulon, a little marsupial, going from adventure to adventure and protecting a fifty-year-old, single, childless woman who is constantly in survival mode. He will try to take big steps, but he knows absolutely nothing about it. For example, regarding the art gallery, he knows absolutely nothing about it, but he goes anyway. He has that freedom. He goes, hits the wall, but it doesn’t matter. Second and third, but it doesn’t matter. It’s fun and brings comedy.
Alix is truly the epitome of a fifty-year-old woman who considers herself in every sense of the word. It is modern, free and ambitious. Do you like maintaining such a strong character for the women who look up to you?
I like the idea of showing them that there is another solution. This is what excites me the most about Alix. Often women do not dare. They are at home with an established life, but there may be other opportunities. That’s why he makes them laugh. they say to themselvesImpossible, I would never do that“I want to give a real message of hope. We have the right to do what we want when we can. We do what we can in life. Despite our sins, we must move forward. And that’s exactly what Alix allows. Move forward, don’t be afraid. Fear freezes people, but Alix opens all these doors. I think the women who follow her adventures like it.
Actually, we’re going to talk about women in general through Alix. We’re not going to put them in boxes. Boxes are not interesting. Needs re-dusting. We are only at the beginning of women’s freedom. It’s not particularly being a feminist, but it’s just being normal. Normalcy is not coming yet. How can we succeed in moving forward without worrying about the judgment of others? More so, about men or women, because there are women who can be harsh with other women. especially sexually. In this sense, Alix has no limit. She has a boyfriend, Virgil (Fred Bianconi), but he acts like men. He wants one evening, he goes and goes. Indeed, it can challenge and we can ask ourselves questions, but why can’t women do it?
This is exactly what is so interesting about Alix. She renews the image of a fifty-year-old woman. An age group that is finally under-exploited on screen. Alix ticks the boxes you mention…
He is fifty years old, but in his head he seems to be thirty years old. I really enjoy it because I obviously can’t do what Alix does. In life, I am really the opposite of Alix. But I love protecting women.
Alix is 360° above the others. He’s going to help his friends, be there for everyone, and throw punches. But it’s sharing because it’s generous. Alix is compassionate. In any case, it can be said that she is a young woman. Dare we say it. We can reset everything even at the age of 70. You are 15, 30, 50, the most important thing is how you see yourself from the inside. And I want to break all these clichés.
And how involved are you in developing the scenarios?
There is no way. The whole team is behind him. I wouldn’t let myself. It’s not my job, I’m not a screenwriter. I don’t like boxes, but each in its place. I am an actor, they send me a text and I interpret. I definitely have gorgeous arches too.
What can you tell us about what awaits Alix in the next episodes?
This is absolutely amazing. We think that this is the same canvas as in the paintings of Brenas, but no. Alix brings Helen (Sophie Le Tellier) to his gallery. They become a bit like Thelma and Louise, but Alix remains the leader. He will have the idea to make more fakes and use Ulysse (Maxence Victor). Enter Christian, the new art dealer. If Helen and Alix are acting like crazy, it’s going to be difficult for them at this point.
They will have to prove that the works are genuine. In turn, the art dealer has an associate who is under the impression that these are fake paintings. So they demand proof, which forces Alix and Helen to create a fake proof like a will. They will go into Spiderman mode or Ghostbusters archives. Alix will also use Mark Moore (Cesar Merrick) to manipulate her. He cleverly manipulates it by creating a whole mechanism. Finally, they succeed in proving that this is the real Definod.
In the midst of all this, Ellen falls in love with Christian. Obviously, Helen and Alix will be able to take down Christian and take the big jackpot. However, the tide will unfortunately turn and Alix will be in big trouble. For what ? I can’t tell you that.
Why does Alix arrange so much?
Alix is a businessman. He has rent and groceries to pay. If it ends, he has nothing back. He is in continuous rescue.
Alix is very well surrounded by Laetitia (Shirley Busquet), Claudine (Katherine Wilkening) and now to Helen. How do you view this group of friends?
The writers made him a hell of a bunch of chicks. It’s nice because you don’t see many female groups on screen. And even less from this age. We see them in their 30s, going out to clubs, talking and having lots of adventures because they don’t have kids yet. When you don’t have children, anything is possible. But just because you’re 50 doesn’t mean it’s over. There are still things for women over 50.
A word about friendship with Virgil? Can we expect a rapprochement?
Not in the current plot, but in the next one. I don’t know if the writers planned to give them a love story, but they will meet again.
Alix is always a bearable heart. Will he find love in the remaining episodes?
He is not of that view. He is completely involved in his work. It should disguise itself as catsize to hide stuff in archives. His time is completely filled with all these tricks to keep his gallery going.
Un si grand soleil is known for its advocacy of many social issues. Is there a theme you want to defend through the character of Alix?
adopt. I believe this was already done in the first season. Otherwise, freedom, but Alix already does that.
Do you have any other projects besides Un si grand soleil that you would like to tell us about?
I just finished filming Sophie Cross.
Interview in Montpellier in December 2022.
