Anhembi: the rain is the protagonist of the second night of fashion shows

Mancha Verde appears confident and Mocidade crosses an avenue with a good history

The last night of the Special Group shows was held on Saturday the 18th. Mancha Verde, which had a strong presence of Alviverde fans on the avenue, was one of the highlights, but the main role was played by the rain.

In all, 14 samba schools performed over the two-day show at Anhembi. The big winner will be announced next Tuesday, the 21st,

Debuting among the samba elite, Estrela do Terceira Milênio was the first to attract public attention. With a storyline in homage to humor, the allegories and samba storyline impressed.

Mancha Verde shined in bringing the alviverde crowd to the boulevard. The costumes and floats were praised by those who watched the parade. In the stands, revelers sang the school’s samba-enredo and cheered for the association’s third championship.

On the avenue, in addition to the rain and La Mancha, Mocidade Alegre also shone. In an effort to pay homage to African culture, the school gained favor with samba-enredo which rocked the audience.

The rain interrupted the schools

The wagons of the samba schools were hit by the rains that hit the city of São Paulo throughout the afternoon of Saturday 18th. At night, the soaked walkway was an obstacle for the associations to easily cross Anhembi.

Before the parade, Leandro Soares, carnivalesque from Império de Casa Verde, had to run to put everything in order.

“Unfortunately we were affected by the rain. We are carrying out the last repairs to leave nothing to be desired in the motorcade,” he said, at the time.

The big winner of the special group is expected to be announced on Tuesday 21st.
