to remember

It’s off to a strong start for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania! Marvel film surpasses $100 million at the box office in first weekend of transatlantic run. A very good score, far superior to the first two installments of the franchise.

For reference, the first Ant-Man opened with $57.2 million in 2015, and Ant-Man and the Wasp opened with $75.8 million in 2018. A good presentation of the film directed by Paul Rudd and with the arrival of the villainous Kang the Conqueror. , played by Jonathan Majors.

Avatar 2 is still struggling to stay in the 2nd tier of the rankings. It earned an additional $6 million this weekend for a total of $657,075,991.

Magic Mike 3 is third, now with a cumulative $17,990,454. In this new sequel, “Magic” Mike Lane returns to the stage after a long hiatus. He broke the failed deal and now works as a bartender in Florida. For one last splurge, Mike travels to London with a high-profile investor. He makes her an offer she can’t refuse… that only she knows.

In France, the film will not pass the cinema box. It will be released straight to VOD and DVD on June 14, 2023.

Also note the #7 presence of Titanic, which was re-released for its 25th anniversary, making it the double presence of a James Cameron film in this top 10.
