        Actress Aimee Lou Wood has had a moving response to ‘Sex Education’ co-star Emma Mackey’s 2023 BAFTA Awards winafter she collected the award in the category in which they were both nominated.

        Both actresses obtained nominations within the Rising Star Award, the emerging star, an award that seeks to highlight the best emerging talents in the world of acting.. Naomi Ackie, Daryl McCormack and Sheila Atim were also nominated along with the two actresses.

        The fan-voted award was one of the last to be announced during the ceremony last Sunday night, February 19, with last year’s winner Lashana Lynch naming Emma the winner. As she took the stage, Aimee blew her kisses and mouthed “I love you,” cheering loudly, while Emma gave her acceptance speech a shout out to her co-star on the show: “Hello, Aimee. !”

        Nor has a moment from the 2021 ceremony gone unnoticed by fans, when it was Emma who was thrilled that Aimee won Best Female Performance in a Comedy Series for her role as Aimee in ‘Sex Education’.

        Although both actresses have become known in ‘Sex Education’, one of the best original series on Netflix, the two continue to develop their careers on the big screen. In the case of Mackey, last year she was seen in the new version of ‘Death on the Nile’ directed by Kenneth Branagh.
