Teissier does everything he can to protect his secret
In the locker room, Ethan tells Axel and Solal about his discussion with Tessier the day before. The director of the institute directly denied this and accused Ethan of making films. But the young man did not stop there. While searching the Internet, he came across an article about a regional pastry championship in which Teissier was the favorite. However, the latter did not make it to the finals. The date of this finale, in April 2000, corresponds to Ethan’s birth date. However, Axel believes that this is just a coincidence. Ethan agrees and plans to find out why Tessier didn’t participate in this finale.
She goes to her mother in the studio to ask her directly if Teissier is her father and admits that she overheard a conversation between them on the subject. Annabelle swears to him that it isn’t. She reminds him that she underwent artificial insemination thanks to an anonymous donor. But Ethan insists. He especially wonders why his mother pushed him to study at the institute. She replies that she cannot take him to her own school and that, despite everything, Teissier remains one of the best chefs of his generation. Ethan then goes on about the breakdown, mentioning the article he found. He suspects that Teissier did not attend the championship final to witness his birth. But Annabelle assures that only she and her mother were in the maternity ward that day.
In turn, Axel calls his father, who works at a construction site, to talk to him about the same article and to ask him about the reasons that could have forced Teissier not to participate in the final. Philip replies that he knows absolutely nothing about it. But after disconnecting with his son, he immediately calls his brother to warn him.
After that, Axel walks with Jasmine in the institute park and meets his uncle. The latter tries to find out why Ethan is withdrawing. Axel tells him about the words his best friend overheard between him and Cardone at the Economat. Emmanuel then recounts that when Annabelle wanted to have a child alone, he actually asked her to be his donor, but she refused and took it badly. When Axel talks about the finals of the 2000 Pastry Championship, Teissier reveals that he had an attack of appendicitis at the time and that he had to have surgery. He then advises his nephew to steer clear of Ethan and his paranoid delusions, telling him that the latter tested positive on his last drug test.
Later, Ethan and Samia join Axel at the Economat. The latter claims that Ethan is filming Tayse because she is under the influence of drugs. Faced with these accusations, Ethan claims his innocence and suspects Tessier of falsifying his results because he has something to hide.
Disillusioned with his best friend, Axel confides in Jasmine. He believes that his uncle cannot change his test results. To find out, he directly questions his aunt, who confirms that Ethan has tested positive.
Back at home, Constance blames her husband for participating in her lies. This reminds him that they have no choice but to take Axel away from Ethan and continue to protect their secret…
Billy is unmasked by his friends
Finally cured of chicken pox, Bill visits Vic in his room before class. It expresses happiness at finding a social life. To which Vicky replies that everyone suspects that he hung out with Tom while he was recovering, since the young man also had chicken pox. Meanwhile, Vic and Semiya also learn that Billy never slept with Solal. But Bill stands by his version.
In the classroom, Billy finds Tom, who has also been healed. She asks him to play it cool so as not to raise further suspicion on Vic and Samia. Although Tom is ready to tell the truth, Bill reminds him that they are not in a relationship.
At the same time, Chef Landiras has his students work on the dessert in pairs. A first-year clerk should assist the second year. Billy offers Tom to work with him. But he notices that she is upset about what he told her earlier. Still, Tom says they’re still on the same page about the purely physical nature of their relationship.
While working together, Amber noticed their strange connection. After class, she joins Vic at CDI to tell him about her suspicions. Vicky immediately warns Samya with a message. Amber then reveals that she has a plan to get Tom and Billy to confess.
Olivia and Louis collaborate
Before class, Olivia notices that Louis is missing from her plate. To take his mind off her, she offers to let him off steam while training for graduate students, which he gladly accepts.
So in the classroom, the Listrac chef challenges his students. They have to defend their new menu (of a fictitious bankrupt restaurant) against a regular customer played by Louie. Salome goes first. Despite his arguments, Louis always finds something to complain about. When it’s Enzo’s turn, Louis remains just as inflexible, putting his interlocutor on edge. So Chef Listrak stops training and congratulates his students who managed to stay professional. Louis, on the other hand, liked to put himself in the demanding client’s shoes.
Back at home, Olivia talks to Claire about the success of her training. He admits that Lewis made a big impression. Claire is thrilled, especially since she is more than used to hearing negative comments about her son.
