Eric and Patrice have been friends since high school. But over time they took different routes. Eric has become a hedonist with many conquests, while Patrice is a gynecologist, a father with a well-ordered life.
After a drunken evening, the two men find themselves “traveled” back to 1986, when they were just 17 years old. This return to the past is an excellent opportunity to try to change the course of their lives. What are they going to do with this second chance?
It’s the French comedy Bis: proof that concept films and time travel stories aren’t just reserved for Hollywood SF!
In 2015, ex-Null Dominic Farrugia used the theme to bring out a real whiff of nostalgia – even if you didn’t know the 1980s.
We can rely on an authentic reconstruction of the period (inspired by the feature films of John Hughes) as well as many cinephile references such as The Visitors, Terminator, Quantum Code, La Boum and, of course, Back to the Future.
Originally slated for Guillaume Canet and Gilles Lelouch, the two lead roles were eventually cast by Franck DuBois and Cad Meraud (as well as Fabian Wolfrom and Antonin Chalon in the teenage version).
Thus, the two comedians will give the answer for the first time on the screen. And it is their participation and communicative energy that attracts the audience to the theaters: 1.5 million to be exact.
Encore Dominic Farrugia with Frank Dubosk, Kad Merad, Alexandra Lammy…
Tonight on TMC at 9:15 PM.
