What is it about?
A full moon rises over Beacon Hills and with it comes a terrible evil. The wolves howl again, calling for the return of banshees, werecoyotes, hellhounds, kitsunes, and all other shapeshifters of the night.
But only a werewolf like Scott McCall, no longer a teenager but still an alpha, can gather new allies and rally trusted friends to fight the most powerful and deadly enemy they’ve ever faced.

Almost all the cast members of the original series have responded. The movie Teen Wolf allows us to see again on our screens Tyler Posey (Scott), Holland Roden (Lydia), Shelley Hennig (Malia) or even JR Bourne (Chris), those who have been more cautious in recent years.
If the return of Crystal Reed (Allison) was a surprise — her character died in Season 3 — it was the absence of Dylan O’Brien (Stiles Stilinski) and Arden Cho (Kira Yukimura) that was the most surprising.
Remove the fences
Two hours 20. That’s the length of Teen Wolf, which Paramount+ is putting online today in France, almost a month after it crossed the Atlantic.
It’s long, but it takes time to regroup all the characters, bring Alison back from the dead (silky hair and glittery red manicure), find out that Nogitsuna has been released, fight him, etc. What could have been a season has been condensed into a TV movie… and it goes pretty fast.
So, let’s say: this “continuation” is at the level of a series. A bit corny and WTF, but totally addicting. Screenwriter Geoff Davis made a wise choice to bring back the best and scariest villain in the universe.
The only problem is, he misses two characters whose fates were closely linked to him: Stiles (who was possessed by this evil spirit) and Kira, who introduced the kitsune to the series. The absence of the former is evacuated in one sentence. Worse, the characters are more reminiscent of his legendary Jeep than he is.
In the end, Nogitsune’s resurrection is just an excuse to do fan service. If Allison has forgotten everything about her past – except her hatred for Derek Hale – her loved ones will try to reason with her and help her remember. In particular, Scott, always clinging to the one he loved.
The threat of Kitsune and his oni takes a close second place, and the final battle is as funny as it is anecdotal. In short, we mostly watch this TV movie to see Scott and his very graou.
It remains to be seen what Paramount wants to do with its franchise: bury it forever after offering one last gift to fans, or relaunch it with new characters?
Last minutes suggest that the new generation may appear or end in the “fake” spin-off Wolf Pack (also available on the platform).
