Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness introduces a new character, America Chavez, who arrived from an unknown world and mastered the journey between worlds. But where does this really come from?
In many worlds of madness, Dr. Strange proudly attributes the relationship between Stephen Strange and Wanda Maximoff to Sam Rhyme, but also introduces a new character at MCU, played by Hochitl Gomez. His name is America Chavez and he enters the world of Marvel with forces beyond his control, hoping for Dr. Strange’s help.
We learn little about her past except at the end of a short scene where we discover that America comes from an aesthetically very special world in which she was raised by two mothers. However, this place is not mentioned in the feature film.
If the details are not provided in the film, they will no doubt be explored in a future Marvel feature film or TV series. However, if the MCU coincides with the comics, America Chavez comes from a utopian parallel, or in French from a parallel of utopia.
