Un Si Grand Soleil: “A love story between Leonor and Enrique is possible” reveals Maeva Pascual

Leonor made a great entry into Un si grand soleil. Divorced from Mark, Leonor remained on good terms with him until her jealousy of Miriam undermined the journalist’s trust. Despite everything, Marc took his case to Élisabeth so that she would definitely join L. Cosmétiques.

At the same time, Leonor slowly gets closer to Enrique, her new colleague. With Miriam’s ghost still haunting Leonore’s life, will she give this new love story a chance? Maeva Pasquali, Leonor’s translator, confided in Alosiné’s microphone about her character and what awaits her during the next episodes of the France 2 daily soap opera.

Alocine: What did you like about the role of Leonore?

Maeva Pascual: What I liked was that for once it wasn’t a comedy role. They trusted me in other things, because they often call me hysterical sisters or crazy (laughs). She was a neat girl for once. I said to myself: “That is, I have reached a mature age when I am offered neat girls“. After all, Leonore is not like that at all (laughs). It gives me pleasure to build a different character, which is what I was doing.

If the role was offered to me, the character of Leonor really seduced me, I also really wanted to try everyday. I did not know the concept at all. I found it very interesting. I feel like I’m in a war machine. It’s very rich for us actors because we shoot with so many different directors. I think this is possible only in daily newspapers. We never get bored.

It happened immediately Cesar Merrick and Sylvain BocaraYour fictional family?

Immediately! Between us it was obvious, very plain and very simple. We launched immediately. Cesar started filming two months earlier, but the producer still hasn’t found his wife. We auditioned together to see if there was a match between us. It was at the second audition that Sylvain came. We took pictures to see if he could do it. It really worked right away. I am so blessed to have them as my family. All three are on the same wavelength. This is very good.

Leonor has officially joined L. Cosmétiques. Now that everything is settled, how will the collaboration with Elizabeth go (Christel Labeau)?

I just finished my ark and haven’t received the new texts yet so I don’t know. I still have my doubts that Elizabeth is running the gauntlet and she remains super professional. In the end, all that matters to him is that his box is coming back. Now that he’s said yes to hiring Leonor, he’s not going back on it, that much is clear. All that matters to him is that Leonor is doing well. They won’t really be friends for the next few weeks, but they’ll talk to each other anyway.

Leonor doesn’t want any trouble. He just wants to do his job. He tells himself that once Elizabeth accepts, the story is over. Moreover, Leonore is not a woman who makes waves.

Will Leonore find out that it was Mark who made Elizabeth change her mind about hiring?

I do not know. But since everything is always known, most likely Leonor will learn it one of these four.

On the heart side, Leonor has just met Enrique (Julien Masdoua). If the current flows well between them, he is not yet ready for a couple. Is a love story between them possible in the future?

Leonor and Enrique will become closer. After that, I don’t know how far he will go, but he will retreat. Despite everything, I think a love story between them is possible.

Finally, we get the impression that Miriam’s ghost (Pauline Paolini) is still very much present in Leonor’s life…

Yes. It still hurts at the end (laughs). He thought he got rid of it, but he didn’t (laughs). It’s very fitting for a dead person, but Leonor isn’t 16 and knows full well that people have had stories before. He had it too.

In fact, Leonor is a character who thinks about herself in what she does. She is quite a straightforward and honest girl even when she does something stupid. He is not a coward. The fact that Enrique tells her on their first date that he had an affair with Miriam makes her recognize a little of herself in him. Honesty always works. In my opinion, it’s more about Leonor, and that’s why she decides to give this story a chance.

Does Leonore still love Mark?

I think there’s always something for Mark. There was always something a few months ago. Is it love or loneliness? When you look closely, Leonore doesn’t have a confidant or a friend. He is quite a lonely character. He is accompanied by Dimitri (Victorien Robert) as they work together. They are friends, but not confidants. I think she convinced herself she was still in love with Mark when in reality she was just having a hard time dealing with her loneliness. Thanks to being close to Enrique, I can clearly see that she has a different relationship with Mark.

Paradoxically, when they are on the phone and can’t see each other, they are quite sympathetic. Instead, as soon as they see each other, they are like cat and dog. As soon as it’s a physical thing, they can’t stand each other anymore (laughs). There is a kind of good understanding between them at the moment. Mark will have an affair. Leonor knows this by heart. He already knows what’s going to happen and he’s going to tell her about it. But for once, he doesn’t get it wrong. We feel that Leonor has gained more confidence. He feels a little strong. As a result, her relationship with Mark is slightly healthier. Mark, on the other hand, is much calmer towards her.

As you said, Leonore is a character who ultimately has little interaction outside of her family environment. However, after his arrival at L. Cosmétiques, one gets the impression that a friendship is forming with Berthier (Khalid Maaduri)…

exactly Leonore gets along very well with Berthier. He’s a really nice guy. There is this friendship with him, but also with Enrique. Among them is benevolent. So far so good. I think the writers make Leonore’s character lighter and funnier. I think that’s why Leonor and Enrique were brought in. It doesn’t have to be a big comedy, but just a little lightness. However, there is still a lot of drama in the series. Life in Montpellier is not good (laughs).
