to remember

After West Side Story failed to attract crowds in 2021, Steven Spielberg returns with his most personal film yet, The Fabelmans.

With more than 64,000 admissions, his new work scored almost 3 times the number of his musical, which opened with 23,000 tickets.

Fabelmans is almost as strong as Ready Player One and its 85,000 downloads on its March 2018 release date. The bet was won by the director.

While the film opened well in France, it flopped in the United States, collecting only $17 million.

In second place, Lambert Wilson and Gregory Gadebois claim more than 38,000 tickets have been sold for Les Choses simples. Director Eric Besnard beat his previous film, Délicieux (27,491 attendees).

On the 3rd step of the podium, the culinary comedy À la belle étoile attracted 13,656 gourmands. This is a hair ahead of the drama Stop your lies and its 12,795 entries.
