The frank serial debut of the famous theater director
The series “Kept Women” became the first multi-part project in the career of Konstantin Bogomolov. This is understandable: who else could be called to the chair of the director of the series about the wrong side of secular Moscow, if not him? Bogomolov, like no one else, knows the peculiarities of the capital’s secular hangouts, rotates in the same circles and knows what others do not know. All the characters and lines of behavior of his heroes were formed from the author’s personal observations of real life situations. However, as the director himself said in an interview, social life is not easy for him, but he prefers to treat it with irony. By the way, Alexander Zbruev, one of the stars of the series, agreed to his role despite the fact that he does not like the serial format, precisely because of Bogomolov’s participation in it.

For Sergey Burunov, the role in “Kept Women” is one of the most important roles
Known for his comic talent, the famous actor rarely appears in dramas, but he put a lot of effort and personal experience into this project. What exactly are we talking about? Burunov said that he is very concerned about his health and in his free time from filming regularly visits various doctors, including a psychotherapist. And it was this experience that helped him on the site of the third season, where his character, businessman Igor Dolgachev, visits the “brain shrink” – he brought something from himself into these scenes.
I understand his story: he was tired of this and just sent everything, – said Burunov.

The film crew applauded the bed scene of Moroz and Mishukov
Bright sex scenes in “Kept Women” have always been a separate subject of discussion. Few people know that one of the most passionate love episodes (episode 7 of season 1) between the heroes of Daria Moroz and Vladimir Mishukov was filmed spontaneously and received a standing ovation from the film crew. At the very moment of shooting, a minimum of colleagues remained in the room with the actors to create the right atmosphere, the rest remained behind the closed door at the playback. And although the shooting of the bed scene was not scheduled for that day, the actors played in such a way that after the command “Stop, filmed!” there was applause.

Shooting takes place in real locations
The creators of the series initially decided not to shoot in the pavilions. The project team sought to find real objects and spaces that exactly fit the characters of the series: private houses, penthouses, restaurants and other locations, and sometimes the choice of filming location directly influenced the script and the relationship of the characters. In the fourth season, the setting moved from Moscow to St. Petersburg, and director Lamara Soghomonyan explains it this way:
In the fourth season, we gave the heroes squeezed in a vise air, detachment from the world, languor and fatigue. That’s why we chose Peter: he’s a bit imperial, you get squashed in him, everything gets too heavy. In the end, we bring it all to the purity of the air for certain characters and to nature.

The make-up of Nikita Efremov in the fourth season became the most difficult for the entire series
The hero of Efremov, Arkady Bulavkin, is an influential official with whom those around him are trying to make a profitable acquaintance and please him in every possible way. He wears size 56. Each time, the transformation into Arkady Bulavkin took the actor about three hours. In order for Efremov to “get better” to 140 kilograms, the project team resorted to plastic makeup and silicone overlays on the face and body. The faceplate is made taking into account the mimic features of the actor and visually adds those segments that could appear if Efremov, theoretically, gained 70 kilograms. The plastic make-up artists made the body cover in two versions: lightweight, which can be worn under clothes, and a naturalistic silicone weighing 12 kilograms for scenes with a naked torso.
