Zika Out! Dudu and Endrick want the first goal of the year looking for another win for Palmeiras

While Rony and Veiga stand out as the most decisive players of the season, the other forwards have yet to score

Palmeiras will face Ferroviária this Sunday, at 18:30, at the Allianz Parque, in a match valid for the 11th round of the group stage of the Paulistao 2023. It will be a good opportunity for forwards Dudu and Endrick, who have yet to score this year, to break the drought.

After São Bernardo’s victory over São Paulo last Saturday, Verdão became runners-up in group D and, consequently, the second best season overall in the competition. He will then play to regain the position he held for a few rounds. Araraquara’s team is battling against relegation in the state. Despite being guaranteed in the knockout stages, Abel Ferreira’s side went with full force to get back in front.

While Rony has directly participated in seven Alviverde goals, with five goals and two assists, and Raphael Veiga has participated in nine, adding four goals and five assists, Dudu and Endrick have only one participation each. The number 7 has only one assist and the Verdão youngster conceded a penalty.

Furthermore, the duo Rony and Veiga have been instrumental in Palmeiras’ last few games, being directly responsible for the last four points they have won away from home, in the clashes against Água Santa and Corinthians respectively.

With that, the forwards will look to end the season’s goal drought in this match against Ferroviária and help Alviverde to another three points, securing first place in group D and the best overall season in the state after 11 rounds played so far.
