Inside the hostage crisis
Pilot is director Paul Dusset’s first feature film. In this film he offers a unique immersion in history. Indeed, the viewer has access only to the camera corners of the characters’ computers or cell phones and their interfaces.
This perspective gives us a closed effect in which we are locked in like Daniel (Hugo Becker) who can not leave his place. The viewer shares the protagonist’s vision when he looks at the phone: we have either his content or his reaction to one of the two cameras.
The vice quickly stretches around the drone pilot, realizing that the situation should not be taken lightly. In constant contact with his colleagues Carine (Eye Haïdara, recently seen in En Thérapie on Arte), Ryan (Sayyid El Alami, starring in Oussekine on Disney +) and Eric (François Rabette, who appeared in the Totem series Prime Video), Daniel. Should not allow anything to appear.
Despite the short passages on the screen, Sayed El Alam and François Rabete increase the pressure. They perfectly embody the misunderstanding of their character in the face of events. The duo constantly face the eye of Haidara, who tries to somehow stay insomniac.

Racing against time
At 1:14 a.m. the soldier’s life is completely turned upside down. We witness the arrival of Daniel in hell, who is forced to play a double game: trying to save his family while giving the terrorists what they want to live as long as possible.
The helpless Daniel can not go and release the family, forced to respect the demands of the terrorists. This is another soldier we follow in the pursuit of criminals: Fernandez (Gregory Fitus, recently in Season 6 of Peaky Blinders). But will the time come for a brazen soldier?

The duality of the situation is very well brought about by actor Hugo Becker, whom we see slowly sinking. The tension increases as soon as the timer is gradually completed. No one will come out of this race unscathed with time, not even the spectators.
So, will Daniel be able to hide the situation from them? Will he manage to save his wife Anna (Kahina Karina) and daughter (Lali Lenner) from terrorists? Answer me tonight.
