Pele’s Mausoleum in Santos is about to be opened to the public

The space is 200 m² and has been transformed into a football temple

The mausoleum housing the body of former player Pelé, who died last December, is about to be opened to the public, promising to become one of the great attractions of the city of Santos, in São Paulo.

The space, located on the first floor of the Ecumenical Necropolis Memorial, measures approximately 200 square meters and has been completely customized to welcome visitors.

The opening date of the club to the public has not been confirmed exactly, but it should take place in early March. One of the project managers assured that the mausoleum has yet to be decorated with some shirts and other memorabilia of the three-time world champion.

Some details of the decoration, however, have already begun to emerge, such as two golden statues of the King of Football at the entrance, artificial turf to symbolize a football pitch and wall coverings with photos of the idol Santos.

The place has been transformed into a football temple, but will “soon be unveiled to the public”, promise those responsible for building the space. .
