Productions that have won Annie, PGA and SAG Awards, aiming for virtual Oscar winners, are available on platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video and Star+

Several movies and series has won awards in ceremonies held in recent days, such as the annie (from the animation), the PGA extension (Hollywood Producers Guild) and the SAG (Hollywood Actors Guild). Check out some tips to watch below.

All everywhere at the same time (First video)

Winner of the PGA, considered the most accurate “thermometer” for the Oscar for best picture every year, the film is still shown in Brazilian cinemas. In addition to being available to watch on Prime Video since Friday 24th, it can be rented on YouTube Filmes, Google Play and Apple TV+.

Directed by two 35-year-old directors, Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, the film tells, with adventure and humor, the story of Evelyn Wang (Michelle Yeoh), a woman who becomes involved by chance in a multidimensional adventure that puts the destiny of all universes in her hands – and it also makes her question who she is to herself and her family.

Pinocchio by Guillermo del Toro (Netflix)

The feature film by the Mexican director was the big winner of the 50th edition of the Annie Awards 2023, also known as the ‘Oscar of animation’. Five prizes were awarded in all: best film, best director, best production design, best character animation and best soundtrack. It was also the best animation in the PGA.

It’s a reimagining of the children’s classic about the wooden boy whose nose grows when he lies.

Bob’s burger (Star+)

Currently in its 13th season, the series has outgrown The Simpsons AND Rick and Morty in the Best Adult Television Animation category at the Annie Awards. The story revolves around Bob Belcher, who runs a diner that has been in his family for generations. Together with his wife and three children, they face some eccentricities and difficulties to keep the restaurant running.

Love, death and robots (Netflix)

The series, which brings a different story to each episode, involving dystopian futures and parallel technological realities, received four awards in the television categories of the 2023 Annie Awards: best screenplay, best visual effects, best music and best character design.

There are currently three seasons. The most recent of these was released last year and they are all available to watch on Netflix.
