Residential launches and new home sales in the fourth quarter of last year were down compared to the same period in 2021, according to data released on Monday by the Brazilian Chamber of the Construction Industry (CBIC).
Sales fell 9.6% in the last three months of last year compared to the fourth quarter of 2021 and were down 0.2% compared to the months of July through September. Launches, on the other hand, were down 23% year-on-year but up 7.9% quarter-on-quarter, according to CBIC data.
