Meu Trampo: project trains young entrepreneurs in SP

The initiative should help 10,000 new micro and small entrepreneurs, aged 15 to 29, who live in a situation of social vulnerability

Registration is open for Meu Trampo, a program managed by the City of São Paulo in collaboration with Besouro de Fomento Social. With new groups every week, the goal is to train 10,000 new micro and small entrepreneurs between the ages of 15 and 29, who live in situations of social vulnerability in their communities. Completely free and with vacancies, interested parties can register and consult all the details on the site. Applications continue until all vacancies are filled.

The initiative is of the Youth Policy Coordination of the Municipal Secretariat for Human Rights and Citizenship (SMDHC), which offers classes in different locations in the Extended Center and in the West, South, North and East areas of the city of São Paulo. In this way, when enrolling, young people will be able to choose the neighborhood closest to their residence to participate in the course.

The training consists of five classes that will address topics such as brand building, product development, sales projections, market research, cost investigations, business promotion and financial concepts. The lessons are based on the By Necessity methodology, created by Besouro de Fomento Social, which consists of training to carry out business projects based on the definition of 10 steps and an action plan: my dream, my profile, my possibilities, my business, my brand, my market, my sales, my team, my finances and my analytics.

At the end of the course, students will have a structured business plan. After this phase, the entrepreneurs will continue to be monitored by the project. One of the advantages of Meu Trampo is that the students will have the support of specialized business consultants for 90 days after the end of the lessons, so that they can put into practice everything they have learned, making sure that new businesses become their source of income and autonomy. The initiative contributes directly to the achievement of SDGs 4, 8 and 10, objectives of the 2030 Agenda which promote quality education, economic growth and the reduction of inequalities.

Besouro de Fomento Social promotes a teaching model of the basic principles of administration, created by the administrator Vinicius Mendes Lima, for those who have to commit themselves out of necessity. In 14 years of activity, the institution is present in 27 countries, reaching the number of over 150,000 people trained and around 105,000 businesses opened each year.
