Amazing Angelica Is the second film in the series Angelic Directed by Bernard Border, adapted from the novels of Anna and Serge Golon. Conceived as a logical sequel to the first part, Angélique, marquise des anges, released in 1964, was filmed at the same time, for release in 1965.
In the lead role we meet Michelle Mercier, whose sensuality and enthusiasm are as unchanged as the charm of this new adventure kitsch that combines history and eroticism. Until 1968, with Angelique and Sultan, the actor thus embodied the sex symbol and the ideal of French emancipation that would forever distort society and its career.
