“Dragon Ball” had two live-action movies besides 2009’s “Dragonball Evolution,” but the poor taste of the latter made fans still dream of seeing their favorite characters on screen and played by real actors.
And it is that the demand for the franchise created by Akira Toriyama is still high, because its new content such as manga, anime, video games and movies such as “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero” are accepted by the public.
But what people have wanted to see for 14 years is a live-action “Dragon Ball” that is true to the original story and has a good budget to bring Goku and company to life with all their powers and abilities.
While this is not being done by Hollywood and the Toei Company, fans are the ones who have taken it upon themselves to show what such a project would look like in real life.

This is what ‘Dragon Ball Z’ would look like if it was a live-action series from the 90s
Thanks to artificial intelligence and programs like Midjourney, artists and fans have been able to create things like a live-action “Zelda” with Tom Holland or a scary version of “Spirited Away” with live actors.
Now it was the turn to bring the “Dragon Ball Z” anime to reality, which is perhaps the most famous saga and story known to fans of Goku’s adventures.
Artist and musician Daniel Taveras on his YouTube channel Dan Taveras Music combines his original songs with images he creates with the help of artificial intelligence in the show Midjourney.
The creator used the AI rendering program to bring the ‘Dragon Ball Z’ characters to life as if they were in a live-action family sitcom from the 90s.
In the description of the video, Dan Taveras explains that the images were taken with Midjourney, but he also applied some corrections and modifications to them so that the characters have the perfect style of anime and a 90s series.
The video is in the form of an intro to a classic 90s series like ‘Seinfeld’, ‘Fresh Prince of Bel Air’, ‘Friends’ or ‘Full House’ and fits perfectly with ‘Dragon Ball’ because of the characters and of the humor that characterizes it.
Among the featured character images are Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Yamcha, Milk, Bulma, Trunks, Piccolo, Krillin, Master Roshi, Raditz, Nappa, Tien Shinhan, Androids 17 and 18, Mr. Satan and Frieza.
All the designs look very realistic and like they actually belong in an official ‘Dragon Ball’ series, with Frieza being the only one who changes drastically.
Taveras himself later shared another video in which he goes through the same process to create images, only this time he imagined what the ‘Dragon Ball’ characters would look like in a dark fantasy film.
With the advancement of technology and special effects, it’s becoming more and more likely that there will be a live-action “Dragon Ball” series or movie, but as far as the subject is concerned, for now AI gives us an idea of how they could is .
