The Ministry of Mines and Energy released the list of Union candidates to compose the board of directors of Petrobras late on Monday evening.
The collegiate presidential candidate is the current secretary of the Oil, Natural Gas and Biofuels portfolio, Pietro Adamo Sampaio Mendes.
The list of nominations also includes the president of Petrobras, Jean Paul Prates; Carlos Eduardo Turchetto Santos; Vitor Eduardo de Almeida Saback; Eugênio Tiago Chagas Cordeiro and Teixeira; and Wagner Granja Victor (appointed by the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services).
Independent collegiate members Sergio Machado Rezende and Suzana Kahn Ribeiro were also appointed, chosen from a list compiled by a specialized company, the government said.
The appointments will be forwarded to the company and renew “the federal government’s commitment to respect the solid governance of Petrobras, maintaining compliance with the regulatory and legal precepts that govern the company”, underlined the Ministry of Mines and Energy, in a Note.
