Upcoming on TF1: “Funny and disturbing at the same time”, “Incredible” … Kev Adams’ series captures the hearts of Internet users

TF1 this Monday started airing the first two episodes of Avenir, the fantasy series hosted by Kev Adams. For the occasion, he plays Elliott, a spoiled thirty-year-old home appliance store salesman who manages to email his 10-year-old self one evening. He sees his life being turned upside down.

Little and big Elliot will do everything to get their lives back and try to make their dreams come true. But they quickly realize that playing with the past can have serious consequences…

Almost 10 years after SODA ended, which gave the comedian an opportunity to introduce himself to the general public, Kev Adams returns to the small screen for an ambitious new project that he wrote with Dave Cohen (also the creator of the series. ), Elodie Hesme (Deborah Atlan’s interpreter in Sheriff) and Frank Belloc, who is also behind the camera.

In Avenir, Kev Adams responds to Natacha Lindinger (Sam), Guillaume de Tonquedec (They Were 10), Eric Elmosnino (The Bellier Family), Alice David (Nanny), Marilyn Lima (The Best of Us), India de Almeida. and Jérémie Dethelot (visitors).

Internet users have taken over

And from the very first evening of the program, Avenir managed to win the hearts of Internet users, as evidenced by the many tweets published on Twitter. “This series is amazing. The first two episodes were cool!“, “The new #Avenir series with @kevadamsss is really very intriguing, even my dear is in full swing and doesn’t want to miss next week“- said some viewers.

Many are also looking forward to the following episodes which will be broadcast next Monday on TF1:Watched the first 2 episodes of the #Avenir miniseries with @kevadamsss on @TF1 tonight and honestly can’t wait for the rest!“The audience was delighted.

Auditorium at half-mast

Unfortunately, if Avenir was able to convince Internet users, the viewers weren’t there. Although TF1 relied heavily on the Kev Adams-directed series, it only averaged 2.84 million viewers, an average audience share of 15.3% of the total.

Targeting female purchasing managers under 50 (FRDA-50), La Une still posted a good score of 32.5%, allowing it to be the leader in this category.

These figures did not allow the channel to beat the finale of France 2 and L’Île burgnière, which averaged 4.12 million viewers. Avenir lost nearly 729,000 viewers between its first and second episodes. So, a semi-start for the Kev Adams series.

Find two new episodes of Avenir on Monday 6 March from 9.10pm on TF1.
