Alert yesspoilers from ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’!

‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ could probably be described as a split film. Kicking off Phase 5 of the MCU, the film has been met with less-than-stellar reviews and records Marvel wishes they didn’t have.

However, it has also had some of the most important and exciting moments of the MCU (current and future), like the arrival of Kang the Conquerorby Jonathan Majors, or Corey Stoll’s version of MODOK.

The MCU adapted the character to fit their world and made ‘Ant-Man’ villain Darren Cross (Stoll) the new MODOK. However, Not everyone is especially enthusiastic about this version of the antagonist. Reaction to the character has once again been divisive, with some enjoying his eccentricity and others unable to take him seriously.

In an interview with Variety, Stoll talked about the public reaction and what he thinks of this new version of MODOK — one of Marvel’s craziest creations.

“I think that these characters are close to the hearts of many people. In making this leap from the static, two-dimensional image of the comic, to live action, some things have to change.Stoll said.

“Jeff Loveness, who wrote the script; Peyton [Reed, director] and paul [Rudd] They made a very risky decision. But I think it really works. It certainly works in the context of Darren’s arc.“.

Stoll continued: “What I always loved as a comic book fan was that there were these radically different versions of the same characters.

“I was a huge ‘Batman’ fan growing up. Frank Miller’s ‘The Dark Knight Returns’ was a completely different character than ‘Year One’ or anything else. You don’t have to like them all equally. None of these characters is final“.

MODOKwho also appeared in a Hulu series, He is one of the most extravagant characters in Marvel Comics. The acronym stands for Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing (Mental Organism Designed Only to Kill), and has appeared in several runs of the comics.

The character dies at the end of ‘Ant-Man 3’ but, as always with the multiverse, he could return as another variant. Stoll admitted that he has no idea if MODOK will be back, but he would be willing to play him again.

I have no expectations, but I am willing. If there’s a good way to bring it back, and it can continue to grow and bring smiles to people, I’d love to do it again.”
