Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett — the directing duo behind the 2022-released sequel — the new chapter moves the action to New Yorkwhere the original survivor of Woodsboro, Gale Weathers (Cox), hosts her own talk show.
In a chat with Varietythe ‘Friends’ actress confessed “miss“Working with Campbell on the latest installment.
“I missed working with her, but I will always support what she feels she should do. That’s rightCox said.
Regarding his character, Gale, Cox explained that this time the shoot was more fun, since he did not know the true identity of the masked killer when they were filming.
“I have a very good scene with Ghostface. It was incredible,“he commented.
“Obviously I’ve been stabbed a lot and all that, but this time, working with Ghostface and not knowing who’s under the mask, it was a lot of fun. Usually when I get stabbed, I already know who it is.”
In the new movie, Hayden Panettiere reprises the role of Kirby Reed, left for dead in ‘Scream 4’.
Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega return as sisters Sam and Tara Carpenter from Scream (2022), alongside Jasmin Savoy Brown and Mason Gooding, as twins Mindy and Chad Meeks-Martin.
The cast is completed with newcomers to ‘Scream’: Tony Revolori, Samara Weaving, Dermot Mulroney, Lianna Liberato, Josh Segarra, Devyn Nekoda and Jack Champion.
‘Scream 6’ will hit theaters in Spain on March 10.
