Nils Tavernier’s Ima is coming out in theaters today. The feature film is directed by singer Daju and actor Karija Toure.

The duo is surrounded by comedians Jimo, Nick Mukoko and Jos Stinson, the judo manager.
In the feature film, Daju travels to Kinshasa, his childhood hometown, for a concert. One of his biggest fans is Laetia dreaming of attending, but the concert is sold out. He then begs his father to play on the connections of his boss, Javanese, a powerful and wealthy businessman, to find places for him.
He persuades Daju to perform at a private concert in his possession, hoping to seduce Laetitia’s sister, a thrilling one. But during the concert, love at first sight is instantaneous for a judge who never takes his eyes off it …
This is the first attack on Jimmy’s brother’s movie. Jaju thus joins the list of rappers who make films: JoeyStarr, Kaaris, Sam’s, Hatik (certified), MHD (my brother), Gringe and Orelsan (how far), Sadek (Tour de France) or even Nekfeu (everything separates us).
The singer came up with the idea for this film while trying to write a song.
