Comedies Alibi.com 2 and Asterix and Obelix: The Middle Empire remain at the top of the rating for another week! The Philip Lachaux film is approaching 3 million and should easily surpass the first episode of Alibi.com, which ended its career in 2017 with 3,603,775 views. For the record, Alibi.com is the biggest success of the gang before Fifi. A successful bet for this sequel.
Asterix is in Tier 2 and records 514,149 additional tickets sold, or a total of 4,163,010 admissions. A score that places this Asterix opus below the first three live-action films, but on the same level as Au service de sa majesté, the latest installment directed by Laurent Thirard in 2012.
On the 3rd step of the podium, Ant-Man 3 maintains the 3rd place for the 2nd week in a row. The film, which has collected more than a million listeners, recorded scores close to the first opus.
In terms of new releases, Steven Spielberg is No. 4 with the intimate The Fabelmans, with more than 350,000 downloads. A higher score than Good Big Giant, War Horse, or even West Side Story. The only news to crack the Top 10: Simple Things with Lambert Wilson and Gregory Gedbois and its 222,000 viewers (5th).
The rest of the ranking is made up of family films or comedies for the general public, in the sequels: animated films Sacred mummies, and Pattie and the Writ of Poseidon, double Cameron (Avatar 2, which with 13,780,948 attendances, is the 14th biggest French hit of all time and Titanic has returned to the cinema (on its 25th anniversary) without forgetting a happy man, a French comedy starring the duo of Fabris Luchin and Catherine Frot.
