In the credits, fans of the cult series will always find Catherine Kelly Lang, Brooke’s translator, who recently confided in AlloCiné about the continuation of the intrigue. But that’s not all, because Torsten Kay (Ridge) or John McCook (Eric) are also still committed to the post.

The latter recently spoke to Télé Star to discuss her career in American daily life. The actor also recalled his first steps in the series and this fiction was nothing but… the fire of love!

Between 1976 and 1981, the actor starred in sixteen episodes over the years on Lance Prentice’s score. In the columns of the magazine, John McCook recounted his time on the set of this series with some nostalgia.

From Lance Prentice to Eric Forrester

That was almost fifty years ago! It was my first role in a daily soap and it was a very different way of workingremembered the star. We shot live: there was no post-production, no editing, and the music was sent to our scenes. It was very exciting. Today everything has changed.

After that, John McCook got the role that changed his life: Eric Forrester in Love, Fame and Beauty. Playing his characters for more than 35 years, he also won an Emmy Award for Best Actor in June 2022 for his performance.
