Hugh Jackman Confirms ‘Multiple Versions’ Of Wolverine In ‘Deadpool 3’

Actor Hugh Jackman (“The Greatest Showman”) promises big news for his future return to the role of Wolverine, from the “X-Men” franchise. He will play the character again in “Deadpool 3”, a film which is scheduled for release in the second half of 2024.

The gates to the multiverse will apparently open in the new feature, as the actor confirmed that “Deadpool 3” will contain “multiple versions” of Wolverine. “It will also be a double role,” the star pointed out.

In an interview with the website of the French newspaper Le Pariensen, Jackman also confirmed the start date of filming, which will take place between June and August of this year.

“It’s a huge pleasure to be back in the role! I’m also very happy to play alongside Ryan. We have a 20-year friendship and have a lot of fun,” said the actor.

The statement comes against a backdrop of uncertainty surrounding Wolverine’s appearance in ‘Deadpool 3’, following the definitive events that occur in ‘Logan’ (2017). Additionally, the film will mark the debut of Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds’ (“Free Guy”) heroes as characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The entry of the characters into the same universe as Avengers and Spider-Man was only possible thanks to the acquisition of Fox by Disney.

The film will hit theaters on November 8, 2024.
