Chris Rock admitted he was a fan of Will Smith, but made fun of the film in which the actor plays a slave man
Almost a year after the ceremony of Oscar 2022when Will Smith slapped Chris Rock, the subject still yields comments by the comedian. During a presentation airing on the Netflix special Selective Outrage, rock made fun of Emancipationa film based on the true story of enslaved black men.
Will Smith interprets peteran enslaved man who manages to escape from a plantation in Louisiana (United States) in the 1860s. One of the inspirations for the feature film is a photo of Gordon (known as ‘Peter Whipped’) published in 1863, which shows his back after constant flogging.

Chris declared that he “was a fan of Smith throughout his life,” according to the newspaper new york post. He added, however, that he watched the actor’s latest film for another reason: “The other day, I watched Emancipation just to see Will Smith being whipped.”
Oscars 2023 will have a crisis management team during the ceremony
