38-year-old actress Jena Malone made a shocking revelation. The girl said that she is undergoing psychological healing after being abused on the set of the cult saga “The Hunger Games”. She said that she had been abused by one of her colleagues. Also at that moment she was going through a difficult break with her lover. Tragic events occurred while working on the sequels Catching Fire and the two parts of Mockingjay, in which she played the role of Joanna Mason. Malone released a photo in which she appeared in a denim jacket in the middle of an eared wheat field.

This photo was taken right after I finished the second part of “Mockingjay” and I had to say goodbye to everyone on the set. We were filming on a beautiful estate in the French countryside and I asked the driver to drop me off at this field so I could cry and capture the moment. Despite the fact that this time in Paris was extremely difficult for me, I was going through a difficult breakup, and also was sexually abused by someone with whom I worked, I was so full of gratitude for this project, Jena said.

According to the actress, she managed to play an amazing role. During filming, she became close to many people and experienced emotions that she is only now learning to understand. The actress did not give the name of the man who abused her. She stated that they found a way to move on privately instead of involving the police.

It’s been hard to talk about The Hunger Games and Joanna Mason without feeling the poignancy of that moment, but I’m ready to get through it and reclaim the joy and accomplishment I felt. Lots of love to you survivors after this,” Jena added.

The actress noted that she confessed to this in order to ease the pain of women who were abused. Some users have condemned Malone for choosing restorative justice. This process eliminates the penal system and instead puts the victim of the crime face to face with the perpetrator.
