The Outwaters: Terror causes vomiting and anxiety attacks in theaters

Set in the Mojave Desert, the film promises a disturbing sensory experience and has set off waves of unease across the US.

Released less than a month ago in the United States, the film The Outwaters already guaranteed several reactions in movie theaters. This is because, as reflected by the Hollywood ForeverTVthe horror plot has provoked anxiety attacks and vomiting in its public.

Written, directed and starring Robbie Banfitch, the low-budget feature promises a disturbing sensory experience, mixing uncomfortable scenes and sounds. And it seems that the project has generated the feelings it proposes, since, on social networks, there have been several reports of dizziness, vomiting and malaise among horror viewers.

In the plot, according to the synopsis, it all starts when a group of campers travel to the Mojave Desert, in the United States. The excursion, however, becomes much scarier as “unexplained sounds, vibrations and unnatural animal behavior” begin to surround the protagonists, sending them on a “mind-blowing journey through terror”.

ranked by Rolling Stone USA as an “irresistibly scary” project, The Outwaters — which still does not have a release date in Brazil — has already won good reviews. At the Rotten Tomatoes, for example, the film has a 70% approval rating. Check out the trailer:
