The singer will tour her version of the classic ‘Fruto Proibido’
This weekend of March 4 and 5, the second edition of the GRLS Festival! to the Sports Center Tiete, in Sao Paulo. The purpose of the event is to highlight the female presence in music, with only women in the lineup.
The first day will feature Sandy, Jojo, Duda Beat, Mariah Angeliq, Margareth Menezes, Lexa and Rachel Reis. And, on March 5, Tinashe, ANAVITÓRIA, Alcione, Gayle, Blu DeTiger, Manu Gavassi and Majur will be welcomed by the audience.
In dialogue with the celebration of female art, Manu brings another name to the stage of the event. Rita Lee will be honored by the artist who, last month, released his reinterpretation of Fruto Proibido, the classic album by the 1975 veteran.
“There is no better way to honor Rita and this album than to participate in a 100% female festival”, Manu comments in an interview with Stadium.
The singer comments that fans can expect a show “with the same energy as MTV Acoustic”, a project which showcased the first performance of Manu’s version. “I’m very happy, because it was a big surprise for me,” he begins.
“I didn’t think it would be so much fun to record acoustic, the show is going to be really fun. I’m usually very perfectionist in everything I do, it was a very emotional project and I was much more concerned with enjoying and honoring this artist,” he said. .
“Being able to celebrate this album on this show is going to be awesome,” he guaranteed. Finally, Manu explained that the energy of the show is due to his current career momentum. “I’m living a moment of great creative freedom and with myself”, he evaluates.
