Comedian Chris Rock made history by starring in Netflix’s first live-streaming stand-up show Chris Rock: Selective outrage. And as promised, he used global space to talk Oscars 2022 when Will Smith slapped him across the face during the awards ceremony.
Rock and Smith made headlines in March of last year when the comedic host pulled a prank at the expense of Jada Pinkett Smith, to which Smith promptly took the stage and slapped Rock. Since then, the two have made numerous comments and sparked a huge debate about free speech and comedy going too far.
This weekend saw the premiere of Netflix’s first live stand-up special Chris Rock: Selective outrage, in which he attacked everything from the Kardashians to Minnie Mouse. And as expected, Rock has begun to address the Oscar slapping controversy.
There, she attacked Will and Jada Pinkett Smith in a heated rant criticizing everything from the slapstick itself to her personal family issues that made the tabloids, going so far as to say she’s only seen the movie. Emancipation see Will Smith get whipped.

But I’m not a victim, baby, you’ll never see me cry over Oprah or Gail, you’ll never see it, it’ll never happen. [Gritos falsos] “I couldn’t believe it and I love it Men in black!” No it will never happen, I took that shot like Pacquiao. People say, “Well, you’re arguing all the time,” we’re not arguing all the time. First of all, you can’t tell on camera, Will Smith is SIGNIFICANTLY bigger than me, we’re not the same size. By calling Will Smith “Suge Smith,” Rock is referring to the violent reputation of Suge Knight, the former head of Death Row Records who is currently serving 28 years in prison for murder. Manny Pacquiao is a Filipino boxer who is world champion in eight different weight classes. He continued:
If I’m in a movie having open heart surgery, I wear a sweater. Will Smith played Muhammad Ali in a movie, do you think he auditioned for that role? He played Muhammad Ali, I played Pookie New Jack City! I threw a piece of corn at Pootie Tang. Even in animation, this motherfucker is bigger, I’m a zebra, he’s a shark! But Will Smith practices selective outrage, because everyone knows what the hell happened, everyone knows I had nothing to do with it. I had no rights. For those unfamiliar with Will Smith, his wife was having sex with her son’s friend. Now, normally I wouldn’t talk about it, but for some reason, these niggas put it on the internet. I have no idea why two talented people would do something so low.

I tried to call that son of a bitch to offer my condolences, but he didn’t answer for me. Everyone called that man an asshole, Charlamagne, The Breakfast Club, The View and The Talk, and every rapper, the Drink Champs called him an asshole. They called his wife a predator and who did he hit? In me! A nigga know he can beat, that’s a bitch. This is what happened. I didn’t do anything to that son of a bitch.

Years ago his wife said I should have given up on the Oscar, I shouldn’t have shown up because her man hadn’t been nominated Emancipation. Biggest piece of shit ever! Niggas gave me a concussion – wait, no Emancipation, I spoiled the joke. Gave me a concussion! She said she would have to withdraw because Will hadn’t been nominated Concussion. What the hell? So I make jokes about it, who cares, she starts it, I finish it. That’s what the fuck happened, nobody’s messing with that bitch, she started that shit. She told me that a grown man should quit his job because her husband was not named by her Concussion. And then this nigga give me a concussion.
